As sales of electric vehicles rapidly increase, there is also a growing market of specialist electric vehicles; from supercars to converted classics or specialist catering vehicles to everyday electric fleets and taxis.

In the first of this brand new series, Robert speaks to Martin Hall, Active Underwriter at ERS The Specialist Motor Insurer, to find out why providing the right cover and breakdown service for these electric vehicles takes specialist knowledge.

ERS are the UK’s largest specialist motor insurer with over 70 years’ experience and teams of dedicated experts. Whilst most get their insurance through a website aggregator or comparison website, owners of supercars, classics, kit or specialist vehicles may need to speak to an insurance broker who, in turn speaks to a specialist insurer, like ERS.
