SAYONARA! Is JAPAN being left behind? And JACK’s ‘gear’ change!
It’s no secret that this is a year of change at the Fully Charged Show, and after 5 years of relative ‘sustainability’, we’re bidding farewell to a few of our biggest stars (in front of, and behind the scenes).
And now, arguably none bigger than, Jack Scarlett.
And we’ve had some serious on-screen talent, from the immense Imogen Bhogal, to the magnificent Maddie Moate, and not forgetting the incredibly funny, Jonny Smith.
In fact, when Jonny left to launch the Late Brake Show, he left huge shoes to fill. And then we happened on the talented (and tall), Jack Scarlett, who was making a name for himself over on Electroheads.
From the moment, I saw him I was convinced that Jack was a future star, and we were able to persuade him to join the Fully Charged Show for a while, which turned out to be 5 fabulous years.
As you will, I have a huge trove of fave moments with Jack, but rather than divert your attention, I’d recommend you listen to this, his last Everything Electric PODCAST, with our OG, Robert Llewellyn.
In it he reflects on his recent sabbatical in Japan and its absence from the battery electric battleground, as well as giving us a glimpse of the glittering road ahead for his career.
The truth is, I always suspected he was headed for even greater things. We’re just grateful that we all got to enjoy his good humour and automotive acumen for quite as long as we did.
