The World’s biggest electric car manufacturer, BYD, is showcasing its market-leading electric vehicles (EVs) at Everything Electric LONDON, the award-winning EV and home energy show.

This is the first UK event where every European BYD model will be available to test drive, with the BYD SEAL, BYD DOLPHIN and BYD ATTO 3 all available to try out in one of the biggest UK electric test drive programmes. An exciting BYD giveaway will be announced closer to the event.

BYD, the best-selling Chinese EV brand which topped the EV sales chart globally between October-December 20231 will be attending all three Everything Electric shows across the UK in 2024, starting at ExCel London in March.

The show is part of BYD’s campaign to grow sales in the UK, with the manufacturer announcing plans to establish 100 dealerships across the region by 2025. Its partnership with UEFA EURO 2024 will further enhance BYD’s presence within Europe.

The Fully Charged Show, the YouTube channel behind the award-winning Everything Electric shows, expects more than 200 electric vehicles to be available for test drive at Everything Electric LONDON, delivering more than 10,000 test drives at London’s ExCel, and over 25,000 test drives across the three UK shows in 2024.

Visitors will have the chance to test out vehicles from around 20 brands, and, as Londoners increasingly turn to electric bikes and scooters, the event is also offering visitors the chance to ride various micro-mobility solutions, so customers can try before they buy.

Attendees will also be able to benefit from an exhibition of home energy and electric vehicle technologies, dozens of live talks and an array of attractions including the Energy Advice Zone, Zero Carbon Kitchen and numerous Easter activities for families to enjoy.

Dan Caesar, CEO of Fully Charged, said:

“This is an exciting time for EV buyers. We know prospects who test drive the vehicles are more likely to buy an EV, and this year we have the largest range of vehicles, all in one place, including BYD’s full line-up. Each year the range of vehicles available to test drive has grown and each year more and more people come to try, and then buy, an EV.”

Mark Blundell, BYD UK Marketing Manager, added:

“We’re delighted to be attending the first Everything Electric Show at ExCel London and are looking forward to showcasing our full range of vehicles for the first time at an event in the UK.

The 2023 North and South events were really successful for BYD and we look forward to replicating this in London where guests can see the progress we’ve made and crucially discover and test drive the full BYD range”.

Recently announcing 526,000 battery-electric vehicle sales, and overtaking Tesla in sales in the last quarter of 2023, BYD is one of the fastest-growing companies in the EV market. Its commitment to providing competitive pricing has resonated with consumers, fostering a surge in sales of small, low cost EVs such as the BYD DOLPHIN.
