It’s no shock that some car companies have found it hard to sell as many EVs as forecast, especially when you consider that there’s much more competition these days.

Optimism abounds for old car companies and new car companies alike, but when you add more manufacturers into the mix – especially BYD and Tesla – there’s only so much market share to spread around. And when you consider that each month EV sales are only a minuscule sliver of cars owned – 26k sales per month in UK in 2023, out of 41m licensed – identifying repeat and imminent EV buyers is like looking for a few needles in an enormous haystack.

So what’s the simple THE MAGIC FORMULA for selling EVs?

  • Find the right type of consumers (only ~300-350k in UK in 2024)
  • Get as many of those consumers as possible in the cars

We now boast the world’s biggest electric vehicle test drive programmes around the world, and have just delivered Everything Electric AUSTRALIA where we saw once again (13th show globally), the absolutely critical importance of the electric test drive, as people switch powertrain and consider switching brand too. We will be bringing this same highly successful format to LONDON in March, the NORTH in May, CANADA in September, and the SOUTH in October. With more exhibitions scheduled for 2025 and 2026.
