The Fully Charged SHOW, owned by actor and presenter of engineering gameshow Scrapheap Challenge Robert Llewellyn, is thrilled to announce the launch of Zapheap, an electrifying new pilot episode that promises to bring high-voltage excitement to audiences worldwide.
Zapheap is an adrenaline-fueled challenge where two expert-led teams transform junkyard scraps into electric-powered masterpieces.
With two top-secret workshops, a team of world-class engineers, and a high-energy format, Zapheap is set to redefine what’s possible in the world of electric vehicles and sustainable engineering. Now, the Fully Charged team is ready to make it a reality through an upcoming Kickstarter campaign launching in March 2025. This campaign will raise funds to produce a pilot episode and a live Zapheap event, where audiences will witness the spectacle unfold in real-time.
The Zapheap challenge will be guided by two industry-leading experts: Richard Morgan of Electric Classic Cars and Anne Kloppenborg of New Electric. With their expertise, competing teams will have just 10 hours to build their electric-powered creations, ensuring a high-stakes, fast-paced competition.
Filmed in a specially selected top-secret location, Zapheap will be produced with a strong emphasis on safety, creativity, and innovation. From expert-led oversight to top-tier post-production editing, the Fully Charged team is committed to delivering an unmissable viewing experience.
The Kickstarter campaign will aim to raise £250,000, allowing Zapheap to be fully realized as a thrilling, high-quality production. Supporters will have the opportunity to contribute to the project in exchange for unique rewards and exclusive behind-the-scenes access.
In addition, Zapheap KIDS Challenge will be hosted at Everything Electric LONDON, taking place 16-18 April 2025, encouraging young engineers to design and build their own small-scale electric vehicles in a fun and inspiring competition.
Fully Charged invites fans, creators, and electric vehicle enthusiasts to support Zapheap and be part of the movement.
