London, January 18th 2024: With more than half (51%) of UK consumers intending to invest in green home energy solutions in 2024, Everything Electric, the world’s leading home energy and electric vehicle event, is giving consumers a chance to speak directly with sustainable energy experts, with support from UK energy supplier, OVO.

Households are one of the biggest emitters of greenhouse gases, accounting for 26% of total emissions in the UK.

In a bid to address the energy crisis facing the country – and with 90% of consumers confirming they were interested in improving their energy usage – the Everything Electric Energy Advice Zone will showcase a variety of sustainable alternatives to make homes as efficient as possible and reduce the cost of home energy.

To help navigate this new world of greener energy solutions, the Energy Advice Zone will be powered by OVO, with attendees able to ‘Ask the Expert’ their burning questions on topics from solar panels to smart meters, and EVs to energy bills. A number of specialist talks will be running daily, offering advice on a variety of subjects.

The Energy Advice Zone will be at all three Everything Electric events across the UK throughout 2024, starting at the London ExCel, from 28-30 March 2024. The events are delivered by Fully Charged, the team behind the multi award-winning home energy & electric vehicle channel.

Alongside home energy advice, a significant number of EV and micro-mobility manufacturers will also be in attendance, with Everything Electric expecting to deliver 30,000 test drives, and 10,000 test rides, in 2024. The show boasts the biggest EV test drive programme ever held worldwide.

Also in attendance will be MCS, the industry standards organisation that certifies all OVO products and services. MCS aims to decarbonise heat and power in the UK’s homes by giving customers confidence in home-grown energy.

Alex Thwaites, Director of EVs at OVO, said:

“OVO is extremely excited to be supporting the Everything Electric show for the 3rd year running, and we are delighted to be bringing the Everything Electric Energy Advice Zone, Powered by OVO, to an even greater audience with the addition of a third show in London.

Decarbonizing our housing stock and electrifying transport are absolutely critical for OVO to achieve our Plan Zero ambition and help our customers on the Path to Zero, so being able to advise and guide consumers on all of the great low carbon technologies that are available is something we are really proud and committed to doing, and having the ability to do it on such a large and prominent platform is great.”

Dan Caesar, CEO of Fully Charged, said:

“While the EV revolution is important to reduce our consumption of fossil fuels and improve air quality, a major contributing factor to global warming is the way we heat and power our homes. Raising public awareness of this fact is vitally important if the UK is to reach net zero by 2050, which is why, for the first time ever, we have included an entire section on home energy in our 2024 shows.”

Previously named ‘The Fully Charged Show’, the annual North and South shows will also be running on the following dates.

  • Everything Electric NORTH, on 24-26th May at the Yorkshire Event Centre,
  • Everything Electric SOUTH, on 11-13th October at Farnborough International.
