As the move to a more electrified future gains momentum, Everything Electric – the world-leading electric vehicle and clean energy expo, has made a long-term commitment to Vancouver as this country’s host city.
Launched in 2018 as ‘Fully Charged LIVE’, British YouTubers Robert Llewellyn, its founder, and CEO Dan Caesar – have taken the unique ‘festival of electrification’ from Sydney to San Diego, from Amsterdam to Austin, and later this week will deliver its 2nd edition (and 16th overall) in Vancouver.
Everything Electric CANADA brings together the best talks, tech and electric test drives for a three-day feelgood, family-friendly exhibition at the Vancouver Convention Centre, September 6th-8th. This week’s event will double in size to secure more exhibitors and add new features.
Organisers have confirmed the intention to return on an annual basis and make Vancouver it’s Canadian home in the longer term.
“When evaluating where to take Everything Electric, we take multiple factors into account, including business, economic, political and sustainability conditions in the region, and British Columbia checks every box. Therefore, it gives us great pleasure to confirm that we will build out our North American presence from Vancouver,”
said CEO Dan Caesar.
“The sale of electric vehicles in BC is among the strongest on a per capita basis in North America and is underpinned by the clean power that its unique energy utility, BC Hydro provides. Furthermore, with its world-class, sustainability-first venue, the Vancouver Convention Centre, and it’s breathtaking backdrop, this city is already a beacon for how things should be done.”
“As a city committed to building a stronger, thriving, and greener future, we are honoured to be chosen as the host city for Everything Electric CANADA,”
said Mayor Ken Sim.
“Vancouver is one of Canada’s biggest hubs for cleantech, with a quarter of our country’s cleantech companies based right here. With our shared dedication to sustainable development and innovation, we are proud to support Everything Electric CANADA and showcase our city’s leadership in this space.”
“At BC Hydro, we are one of the cleanest power generating companies in western North America because 98 per cent of the power we generate comes from clean and renewable resources,”
said Chris O’Riley, President and CEO of BC Hydro.
“Our customers care about managing their energy footprint and that’s why Everything Electric CANADA has made the perfect choice in making a long-term commitment for Vancouver to be its host city.”
The fun-filled, knowledge-packed festival of electrification attracted more than 17,000 attendees last year. Organizers confirm the event will double in size as they secure additional exhibition space to accommodate more exhibitors, extend the test drive activation and add new features for 2024. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore hundreds of exhibitors covering sustainable living, cutting-edge technologies, and zero-carbon innovations
